A Squatch Soft product
ShopDesk
Shop management software built inside a working shop โ job board, repair orders, inspections, messaging, and reports, all self-hosted on your own server.
The whole front counter and every bay, in one program
ShopDesk was designed the way shops actually work: a car gets checked in, diagnosed, approved, fixed, invoiced, and picked up โ and at every step, everyone who needs to know, knows. Advisors, techs, managers, and the guest all see the same truth.
Job board workflow
Every open repair order as a card โ scheduled, checked in, in progress, waiting on parts, waiting on approval, ready. Drag it, done. Status updates everywhere instantly.
Repair orders that talk
Estimates, work-in-progress, and payments in one RO. Per-job technician notes written for the guest print on the invoice and ride along in emailed estimates.
Digital inspections
Touch-friendly inspections with photos, built for a tech holding a tablet in the bay โ not a mouse in an office.
Appointments that confirm themselves
The day before, guests get a text: reply YES to confirm, NO to cancel. Unconfirmed appointments land on a list so nobody falls through the cracks.
Messaging built in
A chat dock follows your team on every screen, plus a full mail view. Email estimates and invoices straight from the RO โ no exporting, no re-typing.
29 reports, zero spreadsheets
Financial, employee, guest, and parts reporting โ including an End of Day that closes the shop the way it has always been closed, down to the penny.
Self-hosted & private
Runs on a small server in your shop. Your guest list, your numbers, your history โ on your hardware, exportable any time. No per-seat ransom, ever.
Manual included, in the app
The full user manual lives inside ShopDesk as a searchable knowledge base, filtered by role. New advisor? They're productive on day one. (It's also published in our docs.)
Multi-shop, one login
One location or five, every shop is a card on the door. Managers see the whole valley; each tech sees home base. Permissions are per-person, per-shop.
We call them guests
ShopDesk says “guest,” not “customer,” everywhere โ because that’s how a good shop treats people. Vehicle service history reports, visit stats, and duplicate-record guardrails keep those relationships tidy across years of oil services and one very memorable coolant leak.
Plugged into the shop’s world
Parts ordering, accounting sync, texting, and company email connect through integrations, so ShopDesk works with the tools already on your counter instead of replacing them all on day one.
Status: in the wild
ShopDesk runs three busy European repair shops in Idaho’s Treasure Valley, all day, every day โ and it’s in public beta while we harden it for other shops. This is not a screenshot of a roadmap; it’s the software on the other side of this link.
Trying ShopDesk
The demo is open. There’s a shared sample shop โ Demo Auto Repair โ stocked with fictional guests, European cars, repair orders at every stage, invoices, and reports, so you can watch ShopDesk actually work. Sign in with username demo and password demo1234.
Prefer your own sandbox? Create your own demo shop from the sign-in page โ it’s private to you and tidies itself away after 48 hours. The demo runs on its own separate system: no real guest information exists in it, and nothing you do there can touch a real shop.
